Driver Requirements

To maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability for our community, all prospective MoveFast TT drivers must meet the following criteria.

Own a Vehicle

You must own or have legal, authorized access to a vehicle that meets our platform standards.

Valid License & Insurance

Hold a valid T&T Driver's Permit and carry active, up-to-date motor vehicle insurance.

Good Driving Record

Demonstrate a safe driving history free of severe or recent traffic violations.

Background Check

Pass a mandatory background screening by providing an official Certificate of Character.

Your Vehicle, Your Opportunity

We believe a great vehicle is defined by its condition—not its age. That’s why MoveFast TT focuses on dependable well maintained “workhorse” vehicles. Meet our "Safe, Cool, and Clean" standard and you’re ready to start earning.

  • 4-Door Minimum

    Sedans, SUVs, and Station Wagons are required for passenger safety. Dual-cab pickups are permitted if luggage can be secured dryly.

  • The "Cool" Test

    Functional Air Conditioning (A/C) is strictly mandatory and must blow cold within 2 minutes of starting the ride.

  • Flexible Age & Inspection

    Vehicles 15 years or newer are automatically eligible for consideration. Older vehicles with a legacy exception require a Tier-2 physical inspection to ensure mechanical soundness (no severe suspension rattles or engine smoking).

The Onboarding Visual Check

Before final approval, all vehicles will undergo a rapid multi-point visual check to verify:

  • All 4 doors open and close properly
  • A/C functionality
  • Clear glass (no obstructing cracks)
  • Safe tyre tread depth
  • Brakes in good working order
  • Clean interior and functional seatbelts for all passengers

Request a Certificate of Character

Safety is our top priority. You must obtain an official Certificate of Character from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).

MOWT Verification Consent

Provide digital consent allowing MoveFast TT to verify your Driver's Permit status directly with the Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) system.
